Michael Myers is back but not quite the return we wanted.. - 6.2/10

What happened Michael? After watching Halloween (2018) I'm starting to wonder whether I really do love slasher films or not.. the movie was a complete mess from the start till the end.

It's quite shocking that a movie franchise as big as Halloween with many fans, gets that very weak choices of actors, not even Jamie Lee Curtis could have saved the film. Judy Greer as laurie strode's daughter with quite possibly the worst performance of the year.

Some movies start off being bad but then with a good ending, others do the opposite.. as for Halloween it's a complete mess throughout the whole film, I think David Gordon Green ( director and writer ) wrote a comedy/ horror screenplay but directed a slasher/ horror film.

أما بالنسبة للادعاء بأن الفيلم كان يستهدف عشاق السلسلة، فأنا لا أوافق مع هذه النقطة، حسناً، لكن فقط مع الموسيقى، ستشعر بالحنين الشديد بسبب الموسيقى (فقط) وبصراحة تامة هذا ليس كافيا

As for the claim that the film was aimed to the fans of the franchise, I highly disagree with that point, well it does but only with the music, you'll feel very nostalgic due to the score (only) and quite frankly that's not enough.

على الرغم من أننا لسنا في حاجة ماسة للتذكير بشخصية مايكل مايرز، ولكن ماذا عن الشخصيات الأخرى في الفيلم؟ كان الفيلم متسرعًا جدًا وتسبب في فجوة كبيرة ونقص في شخصيات الفيلم

Although we're not in desperate need of reminder of Michael Myers characters, but how about the other characters of the film? The movie was very rushed and that caused a huge gap and lack of character.
