A mixture of both Tarantino and Agatha Christie! - 7.8/10

Bad Times at El Royale is written and Directed by Drew Goddard, starring a great cast of Jon Hamm, Jeff Bridges, Dakota Johnson and Chris Hemsworth. Seven strangers find themselves in a fateful night.

Remember last year's Murder on the Orient Express? They are exactly the same but more bloody this time. Drew Goddard (director) wrote a very interesting screenplay with some great twists but still have some plot holes (follows later). A phenomenal job on the introductions to each character from the very start of the film.

Each and every act is exceptional, loved both the theme and time of where the movie was set. Jeff Bridges was great as always but I think Lewis Pullman stole the show, as “Miles” loved his character as the manager of the hotel.

Plot holes, the only problem that I couldn't help but notice is how the film was too long, which caused it to feel naive at some points. An attempt to copy Tarantino style? Yes at some points, it felt like it but in a good way of course.

Bad Times at El Royale is quite a relief and a very enjoyable film with a good story and wonderfully directed followed by some great acting. Highly recommended.
